The Business Analyst is a highly responsible position that will serve as liaison between the MIS Department and the end-users of the Oklahoma Courts. This position will work with Court staff to analyze Court business requirements and review/produce functional specifications for consideration in the evaluation of commercially available or custom designed Case Management Systems. The BA will also work with the Software Engineering teams to conduct business process modeling and document applicable case management scenarios. In addition, the BA will work with the Infrastructure and Quality Assurance teams to document system scenarios, identify roles impacted, and help develop a change management/training plan.
Responsibilities for the position include the identification, assessment, and documentation of Court business requirements, recommending business priorities, and advising Court and administrative management on options, risks, and costs. This position will also conduct research to determine if solutions to business requirements currently exist within or outside the Courts and be able to assist in the evaluation of commercially available Case Management Systems. The successful candidate must be able to analyze the impact of any proposed solution across Court operations, develop use cases to explain/demonstrate requirements/specifications to the MIS team, contribute a business or process perspective during design reviews, and coordinate and maintain project schedules.
Candidates should have a Computer Science or MIS degree or commensurate business analysis experience in an Information Technology department. A minimum of 3 – 5 years of business analysis experience is required. The candidate must possess superior potential in analyzing and designing automated business solutions and be able to show initiative and flexibility in a dynamic environment. The candidate must also have strong problem solving skills, solid interpersonal / communication skills, and demonstrated technical writing abilities. A grasp of the fundamental concepts of web applications and technologies and a demonstrated experience working with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office is required.
Experience with Court operations and one to two years training or teaching experience is preferred.

The Oklahoma Supreme Court MIS Department at the Administrative Office of the Courts has responsibility over a statewide Enterprise Court Information System. In addition to supporting the current proprietary application, we have recently received funding for the next generation product. We have several openings within our Software Development team.
Developer Position Requirements:
- BS degree in computer science or MIS with at least 2 years of relevant work experience or 7 years programming experience
- Disciplined programmer with strong T-SQL skills, including data modeling, stored procedures, triggers, and views using SQL Server 2000 or 2005
- Ability to formulate business requirements into a project design plan and a design specification document which will provide justification for design decisions
- Strong Team player with excellent communication skills
- Sense of urgency in completing tasks, easily grasps knowledge, ability to multi-task, manage own time, and work on both team and solo projects
- Ability to effectively evaluate, mentor, and train others in .NET technologies
- Prior experience in the court system, legal field, or accounting is a bonus.
Developer Position Responsibilities:
- Using VB6, C#, .NET technologies, support the existing software application for necessary modifications and additional new features
- Create new applications using .NET technologies from the ground up
- Mentor VB6 programmers into .NET technologies
- Design, code, test, and debug presentation, business, and database layers
- Estimate time and work efforts
- Develop software documentation which include graphical representations which identify software design and use cases to assist with unit test planning
- Provide analytical expertise for new requests, and for production issues/defects reported in our existing system

Candidates must possess strong problem solving skills and be able to interact with a diverse user base. Skills in support of network routing, switching, wireless access points, WLAN, Cisco IOS, and network security are required. Candidates must have experience in troubleshooting and repairing Cisco hardware. Knowledge of network monitoring, protocol analyzing, and filtering software applications is a plus. This position supports, monitors, and administers the operation of the networks throughout the enterprise including hardware and software (e.g., routers, switches, bridges, network management and monitoring systems). The Systems Technician is a versatile position that is responsible for the implementation, maintenance and support of a multi-site client-server architecture that forms the foundation of a statewide Case Management System (CMS). This position will interact directly with end-users in support of the Appellate and District Court PC and peripheral infrastructure.
Systems Technician responsibilities include the following: Troubleshooting problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion, and providing end user training and assistance where required. The ideal candidate will be able to perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and implement resolutions regarding complex PC problems for a variety of end users, as well as making recommendations for corrective solutions. Other duties include the testing of PC’s and the monitoring of their performance. All of our candidates must have the ability to conduct research on computer products in support of PC procurement and development efforts. Our candidates must have the ability to evaluate and recommend hardware products for purchase. Also, when necessary, the candidate’s ability to liaise with third-party support and PC equipment vendors is vital.
Candidates should have a Computer Science or MIS Degree or commensurate Information Technology experience. Skills in support of Windows Client and Server platforms in an Active Directory Environment are a must. A+ or Server+ certification is required. Current MCP or greater is a plus. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and perform moderately physical tasks.
Traveling to remote office locations within the state of Oklahoma will consume 75% of job responsibility. Some overnight stay will be necessary.
