The Sovereignty Symposium Site Revamped

Posted 04/10/2007

The twentieth anniversary of the Sovereignty Symposium brings with it an exciting mixture of old style charm and new progressive thinking. This year, the symposium returns to the historic Skirvin Hotel, the site of the first Sovereignty Symposium. The newly remodeled Skirvin retains all of its original charm and grace while featuring the latest technologies to assist the learned panels and featured speakers. Accordingly, the keynote speaker at the 1996 Sovereignty Symposium IX, United States Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor will return to be honored and presented with the Supreme Court Medal.

This combination of old and new is also captured in the redesigned Sovereignty Symposium website. The animated Introduction and the Retrospect page feature all of the allure and excitement of past and present Sovereignty Symposia. The new look and feel of the Scholarships and Sponsors pages provide even easier access to these services. All of the information you may need about this year's Sovereignty Symposium can be found on the Home, Agenda, Parking, and Travel pages. And for the first time ever, participants of the Sovereignty Symposium can register online by following the simple instructions on the Registration page. In the unlikely event that you can't find what you are looking for on the Sovereignty Symposium website, please feel free to Contact us. Well be glad to help in any way we can. Or just drop us a line to tell us what you think.

Take a few moments to come and browse or stay a while to visit and reminisce. Whatever you choose, enjoy the ambiance of the Sovereignty Symposium.

Congratulations to Justice Kauger, the Oklahoma Supreme Court, and all of the esteemed members and participants on the twentieth anniversary of the Sovereignty Symposium.

The Sovereignty Symposium was established to provide a forum in which ideas concerning common legal issues can be exchanged in a scholarly, non-adversarial environment. The Supreme Court espouses no view on any of the issues, and the position taken by the participants are not endorsed by the Supreme Court of Oklahoma.
